Carolina Herrera & Carolina Herrera

Wed 17 Sep 2003 4:31 pm

Carolina Herrera, a somewhat new desinger in my eyes. I recently discovered Carolina while reading ‘The ElleDaily’ news update on New York Fashion Week .

Maria Carolina Josefina Pacanins y Nino’s first debut was in 1980 when friend’s convinced Carolina to give her collection a trial run. Daughter, also Carolina Herrera, has recently joined the company and together the two Carolina’s have been colaborating with wonderfully youthful designs and an elegantly gorgeous flair. Carolina Herrera Limited is a collection of clothing, accessories, glasses both perscription and sun, handbags, even fragrance. Elle Daily reports on CH in NYC, “Big hoopla at Carolina Herrera, lots of jam-packed bodies at the door, and for good reason. Soft, tulip-print chiffon skirts and dresses in burnt sienna and cream; lacy knits; soft, full skirts; crisp sailor pants; fun, youthful use of striped ribbon straps that crisscross in the back of gowns. She cuts crocodile skin into woven geometric belts, and adds a touch of embroidery on skirts . . .”. More at Carolina Herrera

Brain Dead Monkey & Abnoxiously Nice Mouse

Fri 12 Sep 2003 3:06 pm

Mom was here visting until Wednesday, sad to see she is gone, I really enjoyed her company. Anyways, she decided to send Brian and I an e-card today, but before receiving the card Mom decided she couldn’t take it and so she just had to show us. We all watched the animation, thought of ‘Office Space’ (I know I was), and giggled our brains out to the silly office animals and their not so proper office behaviors. Brian told me I was the abnoxiously nice mouse, “OH BOY! I LOVE MY JOB!! ISN”T THIS THE BEST DAY! CAN I HAVE MORE WORK!!!! YEAH!!!” Well that only left one option for who Brian was . . . Brain Dead Monkey ring a bell? “DUUUUHHH DUUUHHHH! DUUHHHH!!!!” I guess you’d have to be there. hee hee!

Sabrina came by my desk today reminding me of my good-ole days in 1988 and 1989. So for Sabrina and for all other girls out there born between 1978 and 1985 here is a great old rhyme for you to reminice about. Memories of jump rope in the school grounds, chasing boys around the jungle-jim, and playing hop scotch to the rythmn of a rhyme should dance through your mind as you resite these words we once, all knew so well.

“Miss Suzzie had a steamboat, the steamboat had a bell. (Ding Ding!) The steamboat went to heaven, Miss Suzie went to hell’o operator, please give me #9 and if you disconnected me, I’ll chop of your behind the fridgerator, there was a piece of glass, Miss Suzie sat upon it, and broke her little ask me no more questions, please tell me no more lies, the boys are in the bathroom, zipping up their flys are in the city, the bee’s are in the park, Miss Suzie and her boyfriend, are kissing in the D-A-R-K, D-A-R-K, D-A-R-K, Dark, Dark, Dark! The dark is like the movies, the movies like the show, the show is like my TV, and that is all I know, I know my Maw, I know I know my Paw, I Know I Know my sister witht her 40-acre bra, bra, bra!!!”

Can’t believe our naughty little child minds. This is not a very nice poem. Still brings back good memories though.

“I’d like to put you in a trance”

I couldn’t resist it. Just buying Madonna’s book wasn’t quite enough and so I went and bought her 2004 calendar (also not yet released and coming to me in the mail). Call me crazy, but I can’t get enough. When someone asks, “Why are you buying so much Madonna junk?” I will just blame it on her. “She made me do it!!” I just can’t resist her. Seriously, can you blame me, she’s awesome.

Check out her killer website! Just don’t do like I did today and download some several hundered pictures because you can’t resist having everything Madonna. I know, I admit it, I am guilty . . . I idolize her. Me and Britney Spears. (boo, Britney). Oh, of all the people, why Britney?! Look’s like she’s got everybody in her trrrraaanncee.
