Madonna’s 2nd and Equally Wonderful Children’s Book, ‘Mr. Peabody’s Apples’

Wed 26 Nov 2003 4:08 pm

So I received Mr. Peabody’s Apples a couple of weeks ago, but since I promised you all 9 straight days of fashion I had to save my Mr. Peabody entry. Well, I loved the book. Madonna’s inspiration came from a 300 year old story that she heard from here Kabbalah teacher. The story told of the importance of words and how me must choose our words carefully (think before speaking) as not to hurt those around us. Words can be very hurtful and this story demonstates how words can have much power and how they affect those around us. The book is beautifully illustrated by Loren Long whose illustration has been featured in The Reader’s Digest, Time Magazine, even The Wallstreet Journal. He studied Graphic Design in Kentucky then moved on and finished his Graduates at The Art Institute of Chicago. Together Loren, Madonna and Callaway (publisher) have put out another wonderful children’s book, with appeal for all ages and an excellent moral lesson (once again for all ages). You should check if you get the chance.

Versace

Thu 20 Nov 2003 4:12 pm

I have always adored Versace, so I couldn’t possibly leave this name out. :) I loved Versace, both Giavanni and Donatella. Donatella masters the flowing floral 1970’s look magnificently. See for yourself.

Prada

Okay . . . PRADA! I’m just lovin’ Prada. Who doesn’t? Elegant simplicity. Very clean yet very trendy. One line this spring that is definitely not showing bright flashy colors and out there prints. Prada’s keeping’ it clean and dressy. Although the spring colors here aren’t much different then the fall colors, it still has those certain touches to make it lively enough for the next season.

Gucci Cucci Coo . . .

Gucci is after my own heart with the bright fun colors, and my absolute favorite . . .the sky high jacket collars. Seriously, could you love the line more.

Alexander McQueen

Mon 17 Nov 2003 4:15 pm

I am so low on energy today, but I still have a really cool designer to show you so . . . Alexander McQueen . . . very fun presentation this season. Alexander recreated the cat walk and turned it into a bit of a Broadway musical. Now with better then every presentation he works his practical ‘Ready to Wear’ into a delightful, bright, almost exotic show. Now even ‘Ready to Wear’ presentation can be expressed as a fine performance of one’s own art. Excellent job McQueen, keep up the good work. :)

Giorgio Armani

Go Armani, GO! Now THIS is working’ the sex appeal. This is hot. Armani sure can mix up a classy number that still totally looks hot. OUCH! This man is on FIRE!

Andrew GN

Sat 15 Nov 2003 4:17 pm

“For me, spring/summer is always about happy, merry clothes”. Andrew GN, a name somewhat new and unfamiliar in my mind. I took the liberaty of checking out his 2004 spring and summer line, having little to no previous exploration with the Andrew GN ‘Ready to Wear’ line; definitely my favorite thus far. Andrew has such a wonderful knack for color placement and fabric design. He works his art of polka dots and floral prints quite magnificently. A man of great ability to divinely mix power prints and excessive blossoming while still maintaining class and appeal. A bright aray of many colors, a flashy bit of sass . . . all the right touches to make his most recent line one of his most vibrant. So in my words, ‘Go Andrew!’ I hope to see many more like yours.

Nine Fun Filled Days!

Fri 14 Nov 2003 4:18 pm

Hello . . . Well for the next 9 days I plan to bring you . . . THE NEW . . . . THE GREAT . . . THE sexxxae, NEW SPRING AND SUMMER LINES FOR 2004! Yeah! (Cheer) So back in October I checked out the new Spring Designs and now I am bringing to you nine of MY ‘Top of the List’ for Spring 2004. I think this group of designers has really pushed out some fun (and flashy) new ideas. Very fun and energetic. Even their presentation is lively and spirited. Check them out for yourself. Man, we go through a journal writing drought and now look at me . . . a journal writing maniac. :0 Stay tuned, it should be a sweet ride. :)

I Am So Horrible!

Thu 13 Nov 2003 4:19 pm

I am so sorry to all you out there who read my journal often. I have been so horribly bad about getting any new entries up lately. I have lots of stuff I want to talk about but I just recently moved back home after getting kicked out of Canada twice, and now I am helping my parents move into their new house. They just recently finished building and so there is lots of moving to be done. I am job hunting too which totally stinks. :O Actually what takes up the bulk of my time is all my hard work playing ‘Sims’. I mean, HONESTLY, it is very important that they do well, make friends, succeed in their jobs . . . and I have been so busy marrying them off and building them new homes I just haven’t done any entries. hee hee! I know it is horrid excuse so I will get all my new stuff up ASAP. And for those of you out there who have been waiting for my pictures site to work it will be up before Christmas. My brother is heading to Germany for 3 weeks to visit his friend Christian so he wont be able to get to it in a bit. When it IS up though I hope there will be enough photos to keep you all busy for a time. I miss you all during this holiday season and wish you a beautiful Thanksgiving and Christmas. I am sooo excited for Christmas I am already wrapping presents and listening to all those wonderful holiday songs. Well I will be thinking of you all.

Love you, ME
