Costco Blackout v. Screaming Man

Tue 21 Jun 2005 6:12 pm

The excitement at Costco may not have only been the crying face of my shopping fellow, but the screaming one of that of a man outside. Now I know it’s important to go to Costco on a Tuesday night, but honestly what is so important about buying the bulk Cheerios. Now don’t get me wrong breakfast is important . . . but definitely not worth kicking your car over. Definitely not worth ripping your shirt off in the parking lot for! At least Dan and I knew better than to rip off layers of our clothing while screaming curse words and waving vulgar hand gestures towards Costco. Can you imagine! We ‘politely’ stepped away from the Costco and moved forth to the EastSide Costco.

Now anyone west of the lake will tell you that there ain’t nothing worth taking too much time out of your day for on the EastSide . . .(hee hee). It could have been a hellish night, the brand new TV (out of the box, mind you) chilling in the back seat of Dan’s car crying out ’steal me’ while the tequila flowed like a river in TGIF . . . looks like we survived the Costco Blackout, yes, yes we did. (wink)

Welcome to summer Seattle . . . looks like rain

I’m going to tell you a secret . . .

I joined the official Madonna fan club today . . . I wanted to watch the trailer to her new documentary ‘I’m Going To Tell You A Secret’ and watching that required that I sign up for a year subscription first. I have the feeling that Madge will make it well worth my while . . . offering members exclusive access online to interviews, photos, forums, chat boards, etc etc and a quarterly subscription to her fan magazine ‘ICON’ . . . so see! Well worth my while! (big smile) Oh and we get exclusive deals in the Madonna store that non memebers don’t get (bigger smile) and contest opportunities, like meeting her in person. Meeting Madonna is just the cat’s pajamas, is it not?

‘I’m Going To Tell You A Secret’ definitly intrigues me . . . the $38 I spent to see it and the 1:38 it took to watch it, burn in my mind as a reason to be VIP with Madonna.com

Peculiar Peacock

Lookin’ HOT this summer ‘Peculiar Peacock’, ‘Sweet Octop-pie’ . . . livin’ it up in a ‘Sea of Green’ you ‘Curious Serpent’?

The tube socks may not follow me to the beach, but this acid trip spandex will! Promise! (wink)

Let’s try something new. Being June and all, and the fabulous month of summer that it is (June houses the first official day of summer, you know?) I’m bringing ALL summer ALL the time. I’m talking swimsuits, sunglasses and self tanning everyone . . . so to get this ball rolling.

Imagine spending a week on a wave just off the Costa Rican coast, coming home with a beautiful tropcial tan and a surfer hot body! I have wanted to surf since Junior High, haven’t been brave enough to dare the wake yet (could be the fear of water touching my face, ha!) but perhaps Surf Diva’s top notch surf school will give me the guts to try my hand (or feet) at board balancing.

After mastering the board a true surf diva must master the surf decor. Splash it up with a little hula salt n’ pepper and let your Woody babysit your toothbrush all night. Hang that ‘Beware of Surfer Chick’ sign and think Tiki!

Now hold up! It aint over til’ the fat lady sings! The icing on any surf girl’s cake. Her board. Perfect Wave will give you style for not just the Humuhumunukunuku Apua’a to appreciate.

404 Not Found Error . . . What a Kill Joy!

So, I have decided to refinish my kitchen table. I have the most amazing idea of what it should look like when I am done, I just hope it meets my standards (wink).

First I need to sand it down, get the finish off. So that alone will be time consuming and will require all the elbow grease I can muster up. Then I plan to carve designs in it. I am debating whether or not a Dremel (with the proper tip) would do the trick or if I am going to have to learn how to widdle it by hand (ha!). I suppose if worse comes to worse and I need a lesson in widdling I can call up Dan for assistance. Anyways, I am pretty sure I want to carve angels in the top, or maybe angels down the legs would be cool. Of course if I use the angels on the legs then what on earth will I put on the top!? Hmmm . . . Well, I will work on that. Then I’ll paint it (paint the designs . . . you have probably seen tables like this before, mabye in Fireworks in Westlake Mall or some such place). So that’s it, then I will just finish her off with some sort of finish. I haven’t worked out all the kinks yet and in fact I just got the idea yesterday, but I am quite excited about it.

Shari offered to give me some bar stools too . . . soooo I might even carve on of those babies and paint it up fancy. Who knows yet.

So what do you think? Sounds pretty exciting aye? Now if I can just finish (or start for that matter) the bedspread that I bought fabric for, or for that matter finish the backsplash in my kitchen that I have layed the tile for but not filled in and finished yet. Then I can REALLY get started on my table. Plus I will need to hall it outside or probably more so to Brian’s garage some Saturday to sand it and carve it. I guess I better have a good plan before then. So many projects . . . what will one do . . .

When I find some pictures I will hook you up so you can better understand my inspiration. Also I will be sure and take pictures along the way for you to enjoy. Well I am off for now, but before I go . . . enjoy these . . . (I had an entire entry written yesterday and lost it to a 404 Not Found Error and a quick sweep of panic. I was going to talk about the designer of these images, but I’m not in the mood to work up another great journal entry, so you can look for yourself! It rocks though. k. I will just say this . . . it’s the 80’s all over again but in an even RADER way and . . . I HAVE TO HAVE ONE. :)

Une . . . Duex . . . Trois . . . adieu

Wouldn’t want you to be bored

So I may not be all over the fashion research these last couple of months, but I am all over the online shopping. It is all the craze you know? I mean online shopping is like shopping for real but with shipping charges. You can call me online mall chick.

Well, don’t run off without your fix full of fun . . . Shop ’til you Drop.

Never leave home without it! What is it you ask? Hugs! Yes that’s right everyone! Hugs! Buy it now and you will never have to leave home without one.

You don’t have to be a huge fan of Lego’s to love this gal’s work but lucky for me and lucky for my love of Lego’s, I wont be leaving home without one of these either (wink). Bling Bling Baby!

More to come . . .
