Rain Rain Go Away

It poored down rain on Brian and I, the WHOLE way to Montana. So for 8 hours and 500 miles all we saw were rain splashes on the wind shield. When we stepped out for a stretch break we were pounded with wind and sprinkled with a constant rain. Races from gas pump to convience store door, and rushing from one shelter to the next. Well, it wasn’t quite that bad, but seriously, constant rain! We left Seattle for the weekend to escape to the hot dryness of Montana and here we sit, this morning, tucked in the house with a blanket on our lap and tea in hand (well Brian is more like lap-top on his lap and cranberry juice in hand, but you get the idea). Well, the rain might keep us from the camp fire and hot dog roasting on the family renuion, but it wont keep us from socializing and spending quality time with our Gram and etc. Nice to be home. Too bad it’s rainy, but so nice to be home.

Could it have been any longer since I was here. Life is still really busy, but great! . . . cuz it’s summer. Yeah! My new thing this summer is to make myself as many screen printed t-shirts as humanly possible! ;) I purchased fabric paints and the necessary tools to try my hand and screen printing. I even went online did a little howstuffworks.com and found some ‘how to’ on the process. Actually if you want to know, I found this to be a great resource www.reuels.com, they even have kits you can buy that provide all of the necessities to you. Sounds good to me! I need someone to show me what and how.
So this is my new crafting endevor. I have been embroidering a tank top for my favorite lady (mum, you know who you are – wink) and next will be the silk screening of a small blue bird (which I can take partial credit for designing, but not all) . . . then maybe a little something special, small adornment on the back, between the shoulder blades, a bit of a signature if you will. Hmm . . . all it all it sounds pretty good to me. I am rather excited too.
You know, I was going to post pictures of the process of my knee bruise after falling hard on it last week, but, maybe, just maybe I will post the process of my silk screen instead. For those of you with a weak stomach. ;)
