Lawdy Dowdy, I’m Ready to Get Rowdy!

Fiddle Dee, Diddle Da, Madonna is singing, she’s a great Ma! She works really hard, night and day, mixes her music, I let it play! Sings about love, life and the rest, I must say, I consider her the best. Blonde, brunette, red or black, I don’t care, She’s got the nack. I’m a big fan, spent my last dollar, going to Chicago, to jump and holler! When you see me next, I’m wearing her T, talking it up, You wont shut up me! So slap yourself on the back, and save one for me, I’m going to Confessions, Fiddle Dee!

Do I know you from somewhere? Why do you leave me wanting more? Why do all the things I’ve said, sound like those stupid things I’ve said before? Kiss me I’m dying. I close my eyes, I need to make a connection. . .”

Mohai French Fashion Exhibit

After four years of German occupation, every possible commodity was in short supply – food, fuel, and fabric. The French fashion industry, eager to participate in the revitalization of the French economy, conceived an idea to both rekindle the French fashion industry as well as raise funds for relief. Under these circumstances, Robert Ricci, son of fashion designer Nina Ricci, proposed that the fashion houses create their collections in miniature, to be placed on 27″ mannequins within elaborate stage sets.” The Theater de la Mode was born. This traveling display of minature models, clothing and accessories traveled from city to city and from store front to store front as display of the latest trends and most recent season styles. A team of individuals designed the wire sculpted bodies of the mannequins, casted the faces from plaster and arranged hair in various styles. Accessories in all varieites were made. The Theater de la Mode was just as complete as any collection, just as ornate and detailed . . . just in a much smaller package.
