Everyone’s Bored!! Come Play!

Wed 29 Aug 2007 1:55 pm

Seems as though I have a lot of down time at my office where I wait for downloading, uploading, errors, crashing, and so forth. It’s mostly crashing and general computer crankiness that keeps me twiddling my thumbs. Well thanks to Brian and the book he just gave me I now have entertainment while waiting for windows to process my Ctrl+Alt+Delete request. I will now bring to you ’60 Second Susudio’.

First, I am asked to count the number of days until my birthday. 245. Which would have taken me only 60 seconds as suggested, but sadly I was interrupted multiple times by coworkers so it took me much longer to do the math. Shouldn’t be so difficult to multiply days by months, should it?

Second, find a way to use ‘susudio’ in normal conversation. Check! I have no idea what susudio means making it quite difficult to decide proper usage (although it said ‘use it’ not ‘understand it’ so check check!) I feel my announcement of my ’60 Second Susudio’ was appropriate for someone who has no clue.

Hmmm . . . Decide who would play me a Hollywood version of my life story, then decide who would play the love of my life. I couldn’t decide so I went to my heritage and asked for help on the decision. Their results . . . Sandra Bullock (I do love her), Catherine Zeta (pretty, but too much attitude. not me.), Victoria Principal (baking powder?), and Camilla Belle (she seems familiar). So, I guess I will say, for young me; Camilla Belle and for somewhat more mature me . . . Famke Janson. I have been told I look like many people, Julia Roberts, Shania Twain (kill me), but my favorite comparison? Famke. Plus Famke Janson is just way fun to say. And for my love interest . . . hmm this part’s fun. Young love interest, Orlando Bloom (big sigh). He’s foxy. More mature love interest? Hugh Jackman. He’s Foxy x Two. Now to decide the success of my Hollywood Biography . . . on a scale from 1 – 10. 1 being the sequel to ‘Battlefield Earth’, 10 being a new Star Wars. I vote 6, the interesting but slow moving, occasionally romantic and very cynical independent film. Arty with a dry humor, romantic, but without all the Cinderella happy ending crap.

Now for my next task. To email John Travolta and tell him how much Battlefield Earth sucked, and why. This will be fun. “Dear John Travolta, What the hell!? That stuff stinks! What were you thinking? Oh right . . . (crazy)” I hope to hear a response back soon

Next . . . to come up with a new symbol for the artist formally known as prince. I think I will combine this with suggestion to kill time, number 19. Learn to draw with my left hand. Here is my symbol, via mouse art. Not bad. Passed that test.

And the fun goes on!! Forming a word from the digits of my telephone number. The best I can come up with is ‘wuzi’. What do you think? Let’s see . . . urban dictionary says ‘Good morning wuzi. Can you pass the sugar?’ If it wasn’t for the fact that my number has so many 1’s in it than I would have a lot more options. If you didn’t notice 1 = NOTHING on the phone. A big fat NOTHING.

The fun contiunes . . . try to beat the world record for holding your breath. . . . I just don’t think my 48 seconds is going to cut it. Check the batteries in my smoke alarm. Check! Don’t have one! Aim the TV remote at the walls to adjust the brightness. Check! Don’t have one! (Mind you I am at work here.) Next, if only I had nailpolish and this keyboard belonged to me I would design a mosaic on the keys by painting them with nail polish . . . what’s next? . . .

I will save these ones for you to discover. Try typing these in your calculator and turning it upside down to see what they spell. 5317738, 8078, 0.08008, 5376616, and my all time favorite . . . 55378008. Need help coming up with more wild ones? This will help.

My last fun of the day while waiting . . . Name the 80’s pop star whose name is an anagram of the words ‘She’s A Neat One’? and also check out my uber-fun anagrams. See if you can figure these out:

Blonde Ambition. ‘And Moan’

Olivia and Lorraine know. ‘Make Out Tax Dean’

The Beautiful ‘IT’ Girl of 2007. ‘Idle Lane’

You can’t get enough of me. ‘Yum! Eve Loo’

And for those who are REALLY bored at work . . . make your own
